i loved this book.
I love this book sooo much! In my opinion its even better than Twilight. I really hope they pick Gensen Ackles as Jared if they make a movie!!!!!
Oh This one is one of my favorites….
“I don’t roll that way, O’Shea.” (Jared)
” (Ian)
“No offense, but if I did roll that way, I could do much better.
“i love you, too. Me, the little worm in the back of her head. But my body doesn’t love you. It can’t love you. I can never love you in this body, Ian. It pulls me in two. It’s Unbearable.” (Wanda)

woah.. i love this book! this is the first book I read from stephenie Meyer and it’s amazing!!!
this is the book i picked up from our library for our book review project in english..and yeah, the 619 pages made me feel panicked and doomed and first few chapters made me are somewhat boring, regretted that I pick this. But as i dig deeper, i felt a surge of guilt of what i had just said and thought. I shouldn’t judge the book easily.
I’m in the second book of twilight, and yeah… I f I would try to look more objectively, and I’ll remove the romance in twilight and the host, the story line of the host is BETTER at all.
I Love the Host!!!!!!!!!!……….but I can’t stop thinking about Edward…..lol
This is by far one the greatest books I have ever read. Its emotions ran through me the entire time I was reading it. It was much better than Twilight in my opinion. The feelings were deeper and more complex then just the small love triangle that existed in her other books.
I love this book! I like it better than Twilight and Breaking Dawn, in my own opinion.
I haven’t read the Host yet,
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get over Edward and Bella :S
does anyone have any advice for me?
This book is incredible.
I read Twilight over the summer and I’m completely obsessed. I’m re-reading it right now and saw the movie 4 times so far.
My friend was reading this book, and I loved Stephanie Meyer’s style of writing so I decided to pick it up. Best decision I’ve ever made when it came to choosing a book.
Nadia, I love the story between Bella and Edward, it’s captivating, and every girl’s dream to have a guy like that. It explores the same emotions as The Host between the love triangle, and other emotions. But The Host digs so much deeper. It ventures into the love between human beings and that there are good people out there that do care greatly for one another. It explores how selfless a being can truly be and what drastic measures they will take. The Host is a bit different though because I believe it’s a novel that’s more sci-fi and geared more towards adults than Twilight. To me, the emotions seemed more intense, and all through the 600 and some pages she has you hanging on every word on the edge of your seat to where you have to slip notes in the middle of your book to tell you to take a breath
So, to answer your question in a simpler response, read it. I’m the type of person that needs to know a book is good before reading it, because if it’s not I feel like I’m wasting my time, terrible I know. But this book is a must read for all, Twilight-er and Non-Twilight-er alike.
DUDE!!!
this book is awesome!!!
i thought it would b boring and complicated but noo wayy
it was wayy better then twilight in some ways
i LOVE the host (:
this story kind of reminds me of eclipse. the way she has to choose between two guys. idk……….i love this book. <3
I can’t just describe this book. It’s sooo good!….I LOVE IT!!!
I don’t know what to read now when I’ve finished reading “The Host”. It feels so empty without having a good book to read…
Does anyone have any good suggestions on what book I can read now?
I just can’t stand this emptyness.
“You are not leaving me” (Ian) … Love that part
I loved this book so much! It was amazing well written just as all of Stephanie’s books are. I think it was more complex than the Twilight series since it was a more adult novel and Twilight was more a teenage love novel/ young adult and to me it made it even better.
As others on here have said, and I agree with them, I think The Host was better than Twilight (although there is a similar vibe to it and Eclipse at least it seems that way to me). I have loved and followed Stephanie’s books faithfully like all the other fans and it is honestly hard to chose just one that was the best. My two favs are, of course, The Host and Eclipse.
I think The Host goes into the emotions of it characters more and has a thicker and stronger plot which makes it even better. Twilight is told from the view point of Bella and she totally head over heals in love with Edward, I think she is actually kind of obsessed but so is everyone else.
With The Host I can just feel the characters a little better and think they are set up better, I could feel the Twilight characters too but The Host is a little stronger. Now when and if Midnight Sun comes out, I’ll have to rethink this whole thing again.
I loved this book so much. Although, just like when I began reading Twilight, I couldn’t get through the first page at first, it turned around when I gave it a second shot. I am utterly obsessed with the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer and I hope that one day soon, I can be just as obsessed with The Host. Can’t wait for the next two sequels!!!
I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH I READ IT TWICE
and it made me cry it was so touching. Stephenie Meyer understands love so well she can explain it in words. I praise her.
I love this book,
thanks for all
the host is absolutly fabulous !
ian is amazing!
ian somerhalder should play him in the movie if they make one
I LOVE THE BOOK!!!
I just can’t stop thinking about anything else. Every time I hear the name Ian, or hear something like: ‘Well, you’re just human’ or anything like that, I go ‘Oh my god’ or I suddenly start smiling. I loved it. Honestly, I think the whole story is better than Twilight, but, of course, who is able to forget Edward?
I LOVED this book more than anything! Especially Twilight.
I fell head over heels in love with Ian O’Shea. He is the most amazing guy in the whole world. Fiction or not. Way better than Edward. I hope there is a sequal and i Hope Hope HOPE there is a movie. I would watch it a million times.
I LOVE this booooook so much
its as good as twilight, or maybe even more.
iM SOOOOOOOO IN LOVE WITH IAN, HES BETTER THAN EDWARD, SRRY GIRLS.
I thought it was Jeb that said; “After all I seen, if I hadn’t learned compassion, I wouldn’t be worth much.” :\
The best one was when Brandt or Aarton or someone says “Oh great. We’ve got a bloody queen mother alien on our hands” :L
This is my absolute favorite book and that is a tough position to keep. i read all the tim so usually my favorite book is forever changing. i read the host in late june to early july and here it is november and it is still my favorite. though with school i haven’t had allot of time to read. i need book suggestions can you give me any?
